Then stay at Valley Court Riverside Motel. The motel is a part of Chimney Rock history. The motel is authentic with original interior walls of pine, perhaps like your grandmother’s home. There are open decks and private balconies that overlook the Rocky Broad River. A quaint motel yet modern items such as air conditioning, ceiling fans, King size beds, microwaves, refrigerators, cable TV and Wi-Fi have been added.. The backyard is where our guests have such a great time picnicking, fishing, swimming, tubing, and sunbathing on the large boulders in the river. Turtles and mallard ducks swim by the place. In early morn or at dusk deer are seen in the river getting a drink. At times when the sun shines on the river schools of fish can be seen. Another visitor is the ground hog and its’ babies. A short walk to town is where guests can find trinkets to treasures at the gift shops. On hot days get a cool drink or ice crème cone at one of the restaurants. Guests can see Chimney Rock Park and get good photos of the landmark attraction from the motel. If wanting to hike and enjoy nature in Chimney Rock Park it is a very short drive to get there. The manager has discount tickets to Chimney Rock Park, Biltmore House, Lake Lure Beach passes, Boat Tour, Zip Line, Horseback riding and Gem Mine. The discount tickets for everything except Chimney Rock Park must be requested when room is reserved to be sure enough tickets on hand.
